The content featured on this site is a mix of anonymized, externally peer-reviewed and non-anonymized, internally reviewed articles. Since this is an inter-disciplinary publication, all reviews (internal or external) are conducted by scholars from fields related to, but not necessarily the same as, those of the author.

External Review Process

In an external, anonymized review, submissions are double-blind peer-reviewed. In order to submit their work for a double-blind review, authors must format an anonymized manuscript (with no author details) and email it to a member of the editorial team. The editor will then send the manuscript to 2 reviewers who will respond with either of these:

  • Accepted Without Revisions

  • Accepted with Minor Revisions

  • Rewrite and Resubmit

  • Rejected (we will try to suggest another publication that is more suitable)

 Preparing an Anonymized Manuscript

  • Remove names and affiliations.

  • Ensure text, images and figures have no self-identifiers.

  • Remove any identifying information, including author names, from file names and ensure document properties are also anonymized.

  • Remove references to funding sources and acknowledgments.

  • Generally use the third person when referring to works previously written by the author.

  • Cite papers published by the Author in the text as follows (Anonymous 2020).

  • In the reference list include “(Anonymous 2020). Details omitted for double-blind reviewing.”

  • Remove author identification in Word from the file properties for the file. File > Save As > Tools (or Options with a Mac) > Security > Remove personal information from file properties on save > Save.

For further information on how to format and submit your draft, see Submissions.

We are always looking for suitable external reviewers. Please contact Urmila Mohan if you wish to be a peer reviewer in the future.
